Ever wondered how great it would be if you knew how to make cappuccino on your own? A good cup of coffee provides a completely delightful experience for most people and there are perhaps few coffees as delicious as a steaming frothy cappuccino.

The origin of cappuccino is quite interesting and its recipe was conceived in good old Italian. ‘Cappuccino’ the term has been derived from the acute resemblance that its color bears to the color of the robes worn by the monks of the hallowed Capuchin order.

Just imagine a big volume of frothed and steamy milk perfectly existing with an equal amount of espresso, while the milk stays on top. Droolsome isn’t it? Well, that is precisely the way a proper cup of cappuccino should be. You can then add any type of toppings on it to make it even more enjoyable. You can add everything from choco powder to nutmeg to cinnamon or anything that you feel would make your drink delicious. So basically, cappuccino includes a major portion of foam and therefore it is lighter as well as less filling than other types of coffees.

The start of a better day? Good Espresso!

A good espresso is absolutely necessary in order for you to enjoy a great cup of cappuccino. The procedure of getting a good espresso involves grinding of the beans and pressing the espresso while using a high pressure machine. You can also use a stove top model to do the same. Remember not to make an excess at once, and the cream should be visible and should be on top as the golden brown foam. You can use an espresso cup to keep the temperature under control.

Cappuccino and Latte- Same family different cousins

A Latte is also basically made up of half milk and half amount of espresso. However there remains a difference, in order to make a latte you have to take the espresso and the milk and then pour the milk right down the side of the cup. You also have to mix the milk with the espresso as well.

Developing a froth

The frothed milk is a very necessary ingredient for both cappuccinos and lattes. You can use a French press for a foamer. You need to heat a cup of non-fat milk either in a stove or microwave and then pour it into a plunger pot that has been previously rinsed. After pumping the plunger into the pot, the milk would automatically expand three to four times its volume and voila! You have your delicious froth.

Cappuccino Maker- a must for a coffee maniac

Addicted to coffee? Then it might be time for you to get your very own cappuccino maker. The counter top model variety can steam milk for both the latte and the cappuccino. If you have guests coming over to your place quite often and they absolutely thirst for coffee or you yourself are a self appointed coffee addict, then it is suggested that you should get a cappuccino machine that makes lot of cups at one time.

Conclusion ( Like all good things!)

A cup of cappuccino was once clubbed under a luxury item. However, things have changed and presently, several equipments such as cappuccino makers, grinders, espresso makers and many others, are used in many homes. When you have your own equipment, it helps a lot and saves a lot of your money.

Secondly, the cappuccino maker allows you to make some cappuccino anytime your heart desires a cup full of steamy and frothy coffee. You need not be at the mercy of the coffee sellers neither would you have to step outside. Go to your very own kitchen and prepare a cup and indulge in some ‘frothy’ delight. A machine is very important if you want to have some real classy cappuccino as it is not always the best ingredients, it is also the machine that makes a cappuccino a ‘cappuccino’.

So now that you know how to make cappuccino without stepping out of your house; all that’s left for you to do is amble over to your kitchen and make that perfect cup and enjoy the frothy goodness that is a cappuccino!

caffeine is a widely used drug that has been around for centuries. It is a naturally occurring substance in cocoa beans, kola nuts and tea leaves which are used to make coffee, tea, cola drinks and chocolate. Like we just mentioned caffeine is present in a number of dietary sources including tea, coffee, cocoa beverages, candy bars, and soft drinks. The caffeine content of these food items varies, ranging from 71-220 mg/150 mL for coffee, 32-42 mg/150 mL for tea, 32-70 mg/330 mL for cola, and 4 mg/150 mL for cocoa.

Caffeine is a good diuretic and will cause the body to lose water at a rapid rate, so hydration is the most important thing to watch for when taking this substance. Caffeine is by far one of the most widely used drugs in the world today, and probably the most widely accepted drug today.

Caffeine is a very powerful central nervous system stimulant, the effects of this drug diminish with increased usage, so a person would have to increase the intake to get the same effect as previously. It is also important to note; Larger and larger doses can become necessary to avoid withdrawal symptoms.

Caffeine is a very effective ergogenic aid, particularly for athletic events that involve endurance such as running, biking, swimming etc. The main reason it is so effective for endurance activities is because it has been shown to increase the use of fat as an energy substrate, thereby sparing glucose.

There are some risks with the intake of caffeine, so it is important to understand these risks and weight them carefully. Caffeine consumption can causes an increased heart rate and promotes the release of stomach acid which in some people can lead to ulcers. In some people it has been known to cause nervousness and anxiety. This drug causes deficiencies in some nutrients, such as the B vitamins (needed for stress), calcium (needed for bones), iron (needed to prevent anemia), as well as magnesium, potassium, and zinc. In addition, it affects the digestive process, so B12 cannot be manufactured. It is also linked to coronary vasospasms, the cause for 20% of all fatal heart attacks which kill otherwise perfectly healthy people.

This drug is probably one of the most accepted drug in society today and one of the safest also, but again moderation is always key. Caffeine can kill people who are not aware of the risks or abuse the drug to excessive levels.

Coffee is a well known drink which is highly preferred beverage that many people love. Everywhere you go it does not matter which city it is, coffee is widely drunk by so many people. It definitely has become a social symbol for all age groups and due to this it has developed into many different flavors, forms and presentations so much that you could not believe it is indeed coffee. Though the modern iced coffee drinks or blended drinks have been introduced, Hot drink is still more popular. In spite of the numerous adaptations and flavors that have come up not too long ago, black hot coffee (with or without cream or milk) is still one of the greatest beverages all over the world.

How To Prepare Hot Coffee

Temperature

The right temperature is required if you want to fully appreciate the palatable taste. You might risk of scalding your tongue if the water used to brew or mix the coffee is too hot, and you drink it immediately. What you have to do is wait for hot coffee to cool a little, this can be tricky because it may cool too much and therefore decrease its taste. If you let it stand in an open container for over 30 minutes the flavor deteriorates and in the end it gives you a bitter taste.

The best temperature for brewing coffee is just off the boil. Meaning this puts the water or the coffee mixture at around 195 degrees. For extracting the correct flavor from the beans that you use, this is the right temperature . This is if you brew your coffee without the brewer or drip coffee maker. The term just off the boil means after the water has reached a rolling boil; you should quickly take it off the heat and wait for around two minutes before serving. It is perfect for drinking slowly. You must exercise care when you are drinking just served drink because in many cases, this is scalding hot and it may burn your tongue.

Ideally, serving coffee at 165 – 175 degrees is the right temperature. This is sufficient enough to keep the flavor of the coffee. Letting it stand can lower the heat, however at the same time when it is left standing for too long, the flavor of the brew will be compromised. So be careful, you have to wait for it to stand so that over standing will not occur. If you use cups it cools faster than brewed coffee in a carafe or an air pot. The air pot is the best way to keep you brewed coffee since it is airtight and it prevents the coffee to cool quickly.

There many people who drink coffee not only for mornings, but large number of people have extended the practice of taking the dark beverage after meals or during late afternoon. Some heavy drinker even drink hot or cold coffee at night after dinner.

Hot coffee can be a gentle stimulant for some drinkers and become necessary for many other coffee lovers.

When you want to get the best of your coffee then you should know about the different blends of coffee. You should also understand about acidity, aroma, bitterness, and nuttiness. Knowing these differences will make a big difference about how you pick your coffee.

There are many different types of coffee from all over the world. Coffee tastes differently from each of the different countries. Some of the most well known coffees are from Columbia, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauna Loa, Europe, and Italy.

Columbia is known for their coffee. The best coffee in the world comes from this country and they are the second largest producer of coffee in the world. Columbian coffee is sweet and light and available in blends that are supreme and excelso.

Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world and has been for over one hundred years. Brazilian coffee is famous for the wonderful blends.

Mexico produces coffee beans that are considered to be light and delicate. Some people say that the coffee in Mexico is very acidic and noticeable. However, it is enjoyed by many people.

Indonesian coffee is another well known blend because they are the fourth largest producer in the world. The coffee in Malaysia is brewed in a muslin bag that filters the grounds. Malaysia is known for an extremely strong cup of coffee. Thailand is known for fabulous blends of coffee also that is enjoyed when it is poured over ice.

When you are thinking about coffee you should consider the differences in the different blends. You should consider the acidity of the coffee. If you cannot handle the acidity then you might not want to consider a blend from Mexico because they tend to be very tart and acidic. The roast varies with the beans the most.

Some people choose their coffee based on the aroma of the beans. Coffee from Kona has a fruity aroma. Columbian beans have a strong aroma to them. The aroma of the coffee beans is very important when you are choosing which coffee you will drink. You can get a good idea how the coffee will taste by the smell of the coffee beans.

When you are checking out coffee beans then you also want to think about the bitterness. Many people say that you can put an eggshell in the coffee grounds when brewing coffee to take away the bitterness from the blend. However, if you properly choose your coffee beans then you won’t have to worry about taking away the bitterness. Arabica coffee is known to be extremely bitter. The bitterest coffee blend is the Robusta. One way to figure out the bitterness of the coffee is that you can swill the beans in your mouth and taste any bitterness.

As a coffee lover, you should know the differences of the coffees from different countries. You should also know the type of coffee it is that you favor the most. You should know if you are looking for an acidic, aromatic, or bitter blend of coffee.

Over the last 25 years there has been an increase in the study about the correlation between drinking coffee and health. There are over 400 million cups of coffee enjoyed every day in the world. However, for years the health community has warned against the drinking of coffee. Truth be told, recent studies have proven the opposite to be true.

Caffeine is one of the primary ingredients found in coffee. Caffeine is a mild stimulant. That means that it will raise blood pressure, increase heart rate, and could possible produce a heart beat that is irregular. Recent research has proven that these effects are very short and do not last very long at all. Truth is told, the recent information found about coffee and the health benefits are plenty. It recently has been found that coffee may actually reduce the chances of developing colon cancer. This is only true when the consumption is high, which in the research was four or more cups a day. It is each person’s decision though whether they want to consume that much coffee or not. There are other benefits for drinking coffee that do not involve such a high level of consumption.

Coffee actually contains antioxidants that will help to prevent such things as heart disease and certain types of cancers. This occurs by removing what are called cell destroying oxygen radicals from the blood stream. There is research available that claims that coffee actually contains higher levels of antioxidants than cranberries, apples, and tomatoes. Also, there are some Chinese studies that claim that coffee actually helps to reduce the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. There is American and Scandinavian research that supports the idea that both decaf and regular coffee can reduce the chances of developing type 2 diabetes.

Furthermore, there is research that has found evidence that coffee reduces the risk of kidney stones and gallstones. Coffee also helps the digestion process by increasing stomach acid. It has also shown to lessen the airway constriction of people with asthma. The ingredient which aids in airway constriction is theophylline.

However, coffee consumption does come with risks. There is some evidence to suggest that sperm swims faster in fluids that contain coffee and therefore coffee consumption could be related to the reduction of fertility. Higher levels of homocysteine have been associated with increased coffee drinking. These heightened levels are shown to be associated with coronary heart disease. Further to this, coffee does contain cafestol, which has been shown to raise levels of cholesterol, although this is mainly associated with boiling coffee grounds in water. Typical drip coffee makers and percolators remove this ingredient through filters.

It has been said that women who drink coffee will lose some calcium. This could result in bone density problems. It has also been proven that women who drink over four cups of coffee a day have a higher risk of developing urinary incontinence. However, there is some agreement that coffee on a mild to moderate consumption, the benefits outweigh the risks. The risks and the benefits are incomparable.
